• Did you know suicide is the second most leading cause of death in teens between the age of 18-24.

• Nearly 276,000 teens attempted suicide in 2011 and 50,000 of them succeded.

• It is estimated every 40 seconds someone commits suicide

• It is more likely that men will commit suicide while women will attempt.

 

       Mental health there is no cure so we need to stand up and open our hearts to those who feel depressed.  They need support and to know someone is there for them.

        I am having a huge event in Secondlife to raise money for Yellow Ribbon.  I will contact them to set up a tip jar that will directly go to their funds.  I have performers such as;

 

• Secondlife Cheerleading Squad (SLCS)

• My SL Brother Dj Lio will be live for you all on the big screen

• Gravey and long will be blending both of their streams to sing duets in the most popular songs on the radio

• My personal favorite is the Burlesue dancers, they do more than just strip, they tell a story and build their very own breathtaking sets.

 

       The Yellow Ribbon mission statement is: Yellow Ribbon is dedicated to preventing youth suicide and attempts by Making Suicide Prevention Accessible to Everyone and Removing Barriers to Help by empowering communities and individuals through leadership, awareness and education and by collaborating and partnering with support networks to save lives.
